How the resistance in Lebanon is fighting Israel on the northern front, with Jon Elmer

uh we should probably have you talk very briefly um although it's there's a lot going on um about uh significance of hezbollah's um uh attacks against the Israeli military infrastructure in the north of occupied Palestine um and uh kind of you know you mentioned a little bit at the beginning about what's happening in the West Bank um but also regionally I mean uh Yemen yeni forces are are getting involved what's the significance of of what we saw over the weekend um well has La last weekend Nala said that there was going to be an increase in the quality and quantity of attacks as well as the depth of attacks going deeper into Israel and all of those things happened we've seen Buran um Rockets be fired which can carry um 300 kilograms of explosives we saw one of those today hit an is Israeli base in the Galilee um hezbollah's released something like 50 videos of their anti-tank attacks across the border um their drone attacks they've launched uh suicide drones that Israel had to use their most advanced air defense systems to shoot down um and then in the south in the very south um ansar Allah who we know as the houthis um had promised last week um abdal Malik alui the leader of anser Allah um said that they were going to take Israeli ships transiting the Red Sea um and then yesterday they did that they uh boarded by helicopter the yeni Navy uh B boarded by helicopter this um it's unclear the Providence of the ship at this point because we know that ships um fly flags of convenience all the time um but the possibility of what uh that capability to um really restrict Israeli tra um commercial travel through that really important Corridor um is very significant we also saw aner Allah La um down an mq9 Reaper drone the best drone that the Americans have that's also the same drone that the Americans were flying over Gaza um and aner Allah shot that down so they're very much involved in this war from the south as well and they they're not like we see pictures of ansar allaha Fighters like in sandals or bare feet um they're kind of like gorilla Heroes fighting that way but they're also they also control the Army now and the state so they have a a full like um fully armed army they're not gorillas um they they controls they have surfac to a missiles they have drone swarms um we've seen um you know them attack uh Saudi Arabia with drone swarms and put out like go through uh Saudi Air defenses and hit um Saudi oil installations the the houis answer Allah they have capacity to really um to really hassle Israel and to make um a southern front um a further Southern front a factor and if Hezbollah is really um going to continue this escalation in the north um the situation gets really um dicey I think for Israel and also when you add it to the armr in the West Bank um tying down armor in the West Bank tying down American um and Israeli and American uh Naval Assets in the South and the Red Sea um using their most sophisticated air defenses to deal with Hezbollah drones and um and houthi and Sarah drones um this this kind of um harassment and escalation um for Israel is something that really challenges is their ability to act like they have all the time in the world for this operation that they have months and months um where their shipping lanes are blocked uh where their airports are closed down where their people are living in bomb shelters um constantly where 360,000 of their uh workers are in reserve armies massacring civilians in Gaza um their economy is not functioning the way it's supposed to they have more than a hundred evacuated Villages and towns and cities in the North and the South so those places aren't generating any uh GDP for their country and they're also they have to be um paid by the state to live in these um evacuation hotels so um aner alah Hezbollah the uprising in the West Bank those are all three significant fronts the Americans getting hit in Iraq and Syria that we saw the Americans admitted 50 attacks just the other day um this is a multi-front war besides the defense of Gaza that um Palestinian resistance has um really shown just remarkable courage and efficacy using indigenous made weapons to confront the Israelis um you know most expensive armor yeah and and if I'll just add one one quick thing Nora is that the images that ulating this morning that are apparently of this Israeli military base in the north uh near the border with Lebanon uh show utter Devastation caused by these Boran missiles that Hezbollah apparently used and I think and and they show Devastation on a scale far bigger than anything from we've ever seen from any of the Rockets fired by the pales inan resistance is that correct John yeah the Palestinians have a warhead that could be comparable to that but not in numbers yeah but not in numbers so my point here is that those images will certainly be concentrating Minds in Israel about if this if these missiles were not hitting military bases
