Yemen strikes blows to Saudi Arabia, with Jon Elmer
The weekly Resistance Report — contributing editor Jon Elmer’s reportage and analysis of the battlefield between the Israeli army and armed Palestinian resistance organizations, built on the open-source video the groups themselves produce. The coverage extends to the occupied West Bank — and to Lebanon, Yemen and Iran.

About Jon
Jon Elmer is a Canadian writer and photojournalist covering the Middle East — and the contributing editor behind The Electronic Intifada’s Resistance Report.
He lived in and reported extensively from the West Bank and Gaza Strip — based in Jenin, Bethlehem and Gaza City — covering the al-Aqsa intifada, the “disengagement” and siege on Gaza, the sanctions regime and factional strife, and the creation and consequences of the Dayton Army in the West Bank. He has photographed and reported from more than a dozen countries, from Nepal and the Basque region to Western Sahara, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.
“I went out with the fighters in the middle of the night when they were training. I went out with the units that were firing rockets… It felt like a duty to show that footage — a raw, pure, authentic frontline view, like you were in the battle with the fighters.”
