How has the Palestinian resistance used drones since 7 October? with Jon Elmer

over the weekend um the cassam Bri Gades carried out uh an attack U by drone in the northeast of Gaza and banoon um so maybe we'll just go right to that video tomorrow and get started so this what we're seeing here is a thermal imaging camera um apparently a night operation we're looking down from a quadcopter actually a hexacopter six six blades um over an IDF military camp in the northeast of Gaza um we can see there uh we can see after this is dropped you can see the white the white dots are the Israeli soldiers uh on this thermal camera um and you can see with this drone operation um that the targeting is precise right along the bank there where the soldiers are based and you can see in this footage that we're watching if you're listening online you can see them uh the soldiers fleeing from the grenade that's dropped and we're seeing uh a Kasam built Gaza built uh anti-personnel device that's being dropped we're looking down straight down now at an Israeli army camp you can see their tents uh in their position inside of Gaza in the buffer zone um and we're seeing um again a Gaza made uh anti-personnel device dropped directly on top of the tent uh both of the uh Munitions dropped from this drone uh hit their targets um which is something that we have seen um the Palestinians used several times throughout the course uh of this war that began on October 7th um and we saw uh the other day Abu abeda gave a speech where he said that uh our forces appear where they least expect it um and so yeah here we go let me just show you this this is the the Israeli military camp and just tomorrow's Frozen it here to show you uh the way that they have built these burms around their positions and how high they've gotten them uh in the five months that they've been working on this uh inside Gaza so you can see they're they're creating these fortified camps um and so this drone activity If We Carry On from here tomorrow you can see that the Drone activity gets you immediately over top of this Camp um and the Precision with which these drone strikes um are used by Palestinians is remarkable and we saw it um on October 7th as well if we could just go to number two here tomorrow there's a series of operations um the the principal operation the beginning the critical point of the October 7th operation was the use of these drones um to drop Munitions as we're watching here on that an automatic machine gun Tower um they also did it uh dropping Munitions on surveillance Towers Communications command and control structures of Israel's billion dooll Iron Wall that they created um now we're looking at um the surveillance gear the techn uh Communications technology that was knocked out before the operation began and then the second wave of the operation was the breaching operation um and part of that operation was to attack Israeli soldiers stationed along the border and we're watching right now uh drone attacks on Israeli bases um again the and then here we're seeing them on top of Tanks we're seeing with this munition that they're actually dropping Yasin Warheads tandem uh anti-tank missiles um they're dropping them from the quadcopter here from the Drone and we can see there the tanks uh ammunition burn off because of the direct strike um and we see that these tanks don't have what we know that the tanks by the time the ground Invasion began the tanks had what are called cope cages uh installed on top of their tanks to protect them from these type of attacks and we can see in this footage from October 7th that the tanks didn't have that gear um and the um you can see the tank there direct hit against its ammunition stores at the back of the tank um that doesn't have the cope cage and so the the principal the critical element to the October 7th operation was knocking out this billion dooll wall um which separated command and control for the Israeli Army that had relied on um this surveillance technology um in order to monitor the border so on the October 7th operation these drones it wasn't simply drones it was drones they also use sniper rifles against these um communication systems and automatic machine gun posts um but they went methodically systematically across uh the Border regions knocking out each one of these um U these critical Towers um and so this is what allowed the operation that ultimately saw the overrunning of the Gaza division um in less than an hour um the Gaza division was overrun and its commanders were captured um and the operation uh hinged upon these drone operations that we've seen and maybe we can go to number three here tomorrow the they've used these drone operations this is the beginning of the ground war this is in November in betan noon um after the first month of the air war and you can see in this video the absolute destruction uh of just those first few week weeks of the war um and you can see dangling there that's the munition the cassam built uh anti-personnel device the Drone gets right over top of an Israeli forces looks like they're sitting around lunch there uh and the grenade drops right into the middle of the group so um and we know um from Kasam videos um before the operation that these um that it was these were practiced within the Gaza Strip and it's very challenging and to because of the surveillance of the Israelis to to train um with these devices so it's really remarkable to see um the skill with which um the let's call them the Kasam Air Force um their Air Control Systems um technicians are able to execute these operations um against both the anti-drone technology that the Israelis have um but also once in position being able to drop these mun into the precise um spot um you know accounting for all of the factors that are happening the wind uh and whatnot and and Landing them in the middle of these um of these troop Gatherings so maybe we go to number four here tomorrow because When The War Began in con Yunis in December um the one of the first operations in con Yunis was to drop a Yassin Warhead tandem charge Warhead on top of a Namar Troop Carrier there and we can see the Israeli uh the two you see two tanks beside that Troop Carrier and so the targeting has decided here in this case to choose uh the personnel carrier which has 12 soldiers in it uh over the uh tank that's right beside it but you can see that tank position um and so we we saw the videos from October 7th we saw it from the beginning of the ground war in November in B hanon and this is the beginning of the ground war in the south in kany un uh incidentally 3 months on U plus uh and the battle in conun is still carrying on and the Israelis had to rotate out their paratroopers Brigade out of con Yunis uh and their Commander said that uh that they weren't able to complete their job of dismantling Hamas they've been in conun for three months um you know the the symbolic uh home of Yahya sinir and Muhammad de the leader of the kassam brigades um no captives been found no captive information has been found no commanders um have been taken out in that operation um but the operation from the resistance side began with this uh targeting by drone um of the Israeli uh military positions on the edge of conun so I just wanted to bring that to people and show uh the way that Palestinians have been able to use uh drone technology in this war for the first time that we've seen in this um in the history of the conflict um that we've seen them use um drones in this way um and quite successfully use those drones so that operation that we began with was um was just on this weekend uh but I just wanted to show you some of the history of the use U of the drones um during these battles uh so maybe we can go to number five here tomorrow this is um in zetune this is saraiah Al kuds the armed wing of Islamic Jihad setting up a roadside bomb and this is the most detailed uh video that they've shown us um of the preparations for this attack uh this type of attack that we've seen uh many times in the field reports um but we haven't seen before on video um showing them rigging up multiple explosives um connecting them um on the roadside here and they're going to show us uh in the next uh clip here they're going to show us the Israeli armored column that they know through surveillance is taking the root um that they're planting um that explosive so many triangles there showing you um and if you can see on those tanks there you can see the cope cages on the top of those tanks they've made them actually into canopies um to try to protect against Munitions being dropped on top of them and so uh here's the remnants of that operation um which I think so this is the from a tracked vehicle um and I think when when uh Palestinians are able to go back to their homes we're going to see more of this uh footage of uh destroyed armored vehicles um we're already seeing them in the areas that Palestinians are able to return to um that the remnants of these vehicles are around and it appears as happened in Lebanon uh when one of their armored vehicles uh was hit and also when one of their drones was down in Lebanon that the Israeli Army came back after and bombed um the the vehicles the destroyed Vehicles bombed them so that um the these pieces of uh the vehicles can't be used um to put in museums like the resistance Museum in South Lebanon um that shows these kind of uh uh military trophies if you will um so you can see there on those tanks you can see the the the FL the reflection is the cope cage that they've built on top of their armored vehicles and installed those directly because of the um impact of that October 7th video um that I just showed um of the the efficacy of dropping Munitions on top of the armored vehicles where they're less uh less armored uh thinner armor on the top than U than on the hull of the vehicles and so we see here Fighters showing uh Israeli gear um that's left over after that Ambush they planted and they're showing a helmet here that's destroyed um so let's go to number six tomorrow because s kuds was fighting in zetune the the fight in zetune has ended it was a two- week battle that I showed you on the last couple of episodes um and and one of the operations that SEL coulds um uh executed was to rewire an unexploded F-16 um American an Israeli bomb dropped on civilian homes in in seun um and fighters from SEL koods were able to rework that um and detonated against an Israeli Force so if you didn't uh see last week's show you should go back and check that out because that's a pretty remarkable operation that took place um and so this is um s kuds showing us um their their fighters in the battle uh in zetune and the Israelis withdrew from zetune um and it doesn't appear as though they were uh able to achieve their objectives of uh attacking a tunnel Network um that they say I mean they say everything is a tunnel Network that they're attacking but um the the footage of them uh fighting in tunnels is still uh non-existent um and the Israeli field reports have really not even bothered with the tunnels uh the tunnel operations of late um so the ability for the Israelis to reach the resistance um doesn't appear to be impacted by this battle in zetune um that the U that s coulds um and all the factions were involved uh in the battle in in uh zetune which is in Gaza City uh an area that the Israelis said that they had full operational control over in early December just clearly not the case maybe we can go to number seven here tomorrow because there's been this is also banoon in the Northeast um of Gaza this area operational control of in late November and clearly do not uh we're watching their forces um in uh view here we've edited this clip but this is a sniper operation by um the cassam brigades we don't see which weapon if it was a dragonov or um the AL goul uh sniper rifle that we've talked about before on the show and that second shot um just misses that soldier who uh presumably will remember that for the rest of his life that was a a very close call from that sniper position um and again these sniper operations the Drone operations these are types of operations that we're seeing when the Israelis have withdrawn from the populated areas and are in the buffer zones um believing themselves to be safe uh but are well within range of these sniper attacks and as that Drone footage showed um well within range of of multiple different types of attacks that I think we're going to see more of if the Israelis intend to stay in this buffer zone uh for any amount of time maybe we go to number eight tomorrow this is another Kasam sniper operation this is in tahaa and Gaza City and this fighter says uh in this Kasam video we will hunt you he says to the Israeli soldiers Gaza will be your graveyard and then he says which is something we've seen uh in many of these videos he says we dedicate this operation to the yeni resistance and the leader of ansar Allah Abdul Malik alui uh and then carries out U the sniper operation um against an Israeli position so that's an Al ghoul rifle that he's using there um against um Israeli forces that are observing uh on the rooftop um there and again uh this is from the other day and earlier in the day the same day as this video SEL KS uh released a video of mortar attacks uh on Israeli positions um and they dedicated those attacks to the yeni Iraqi uh and Lebanese people who are the other uh fronts uh in this battle um so far U against the Israelis and I just want to show one from um uh we we'll let this one roll one one more time through so this is the AL goul sniper rifle um this is the cassam Bri Gades rifle named after the father of the uh weapons industry in the Gaza Strip U Adnan Al goul who um famously uh slipped out of Gaza during a Manhunt uh in the n in the late 80s and and literally swam back to Gaza with a barrel of TNT to begin um rearming uh during the first inata so they've named the rifle after uh Adnan Al Gul uh and we've seen this rifle be very effective in multiple operations um Kasam says that there's been um at least 35 alul uh rifle attacks so sniper attacks and drone operations um this week uh in the Gaza Strip in the defense of Gaza um let me just take a quick uh tour around uh the other fronts here in Lebanon we've been following this um we've been following this development which is the Hezbollah use of this Almas top attack anti-tank missile um which was uh has is a reverse engineered um uh anti-tank missile system that was captured by Hezbollah during the 2006 uh July war and we're seeing uh the missile strike um coming down here on a Namar Troop Carrier uh again a 12 person uh crew in the Namer Troop Carrier um that believes that he's uh protected behind a burn but with this Almas anti-tank missile um they're able to be fired and controlled from a separate location um and essentially driven down to hit any Target they can the missile can Rise um and drop um and that's what we're seeing here it U coming down on top of a ner Troop Carrier and just to say hasbalah said the other day that this is part of 1,200 uh military operations that they have carried out since October the 8th um that they said of those 1200 385 artillery operations 343 rocket operations uh 72 sniper attacks and what we're watching here is one of 485 uh anti-tank guided missile attacks that we've seen um targeting the Israeli positions inside the evacuated settlements um border posts 75 of them are against rear bases rear positions of the Israelis uh and targeted 38 drones and planes and destroyed according to Hezbollah 70 Vehicles so we're watching one of the 70 uh vehicles that they um they have destroyed um so that's um on the Lebanon front and then maybe after this part here tomorrow we can skip to number 10 um this is an operation in the West Bank um in talarum by the by Sarai Al kuds and the talarum brigades uh against a D9 armored bulldozer um a roadside bomb uh planted against uh that Israeli armored vehicle and we're seeing in the West Bank um significant resistance that's been going on even before October 7th but particularly since October 7th throughout the West Bank um and just just yesterday alone there was 26 resistance operations throughout the West Bank um eight of them armed confrontations uh gunfights with the Israeli soldiers four of them were IEDs like we're seeing here improvised explosive devices being used against uh invading Israeli forces into the camp and they went into the camp in Janine yesterday as Nora uh very a described in the introduction um mechanized Invasion into Janine which has been a constant focus of the Israeli military and of course uh of the Palestinian resistance going back a hundred years in Janine literally um so uh that's the West Bank front that I just wanted to bring in a little bit of Lebanon and the West Bank um because those operations are continuing uh constantly and with the beginning of Ramadan um I think we're going to see a lot more action in the West Bank uh resistance action in the West Bank where the Israelis are arresting thousands of people um as bargaining chips for this prisoner exchange that is um inevitable if Israel is planning on getting their soldiers back um there would be a prisoner exchange involving um many of these people who have been captured since October 7th and that's something that the uh Palestinians constantly put in their demands during the prisoner exchange um and we've seen them do that all along that the previous exchanges have to be lived up to because the Israelis have actually arrest rearrested um Palestinians that were released in the November exchange um just kind of duplicitous uh behavior from the Israelis that U doesn't really seem to Signal uh an intention to bring back their people uh in any kind of um expeditious fashion here we're now six
